                                                                                         :INTRODUCTION:

The District Trade & Industries Centre (DTIC) is a field-level office functioning under the Department of Commerce & Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh. The office is mandated to promote self-employment and industrial development in the district through effective implementation of various Central and State Government schemes.

Self-employment provides an entrepreneur the opportunity to work according to their interests while also helping other individuals earn their livelihood, thereby ensuring economic growth for all. This office provides necessary information and guidance about subsidy and financial assistance to applicants for setting up new enterprises and strengthening existing units.

Major Schemes Implemented

  1. Industrial Development Policy 2024–30

The ‘Industrial Development Policy 2024–30‘ has been notified by the Department of Commerce & Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, with the objective of accelerating industrial growth in the State. The policy is effective from 1st November 2024 to 31st March 2030.

The policy provides incentives and facilities for manufacturing industries as well as the service sector, including Information Technology, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and other priority sectors. It also incorporates provisions aimed at promoting balanced social and economic development within the State.

  1. Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME)

The PMFME scheme aims to promote formalisation and competitiveness of micro food processing enterprises. Under this scheme, a credit-linked subsidy of 35% is provided for the establishment of new food processing units and for the up gradation or modernization of existing enterprises.

Maximum Subsidy Limit:

  • Individual Category: ₹10.00 lakh
  • Group Category (Self Help Groups / Cooperatives / Farmer Producer Organizations): ₹3.00 crore

  1. Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is implemented to generate self-employment opportunities through establishment of micro enterprises by individual. The scheme provides credit-linked subsidy up to 35% for eligible projects.

Maximum Project Cost:

  • Manufacturing Sector: ₹50.00 lakh
  • Service / Business Sector: ₹20.00 lakh

  1. Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme (PM VIKAS)

This scheme is implemented for the comprehensive development of artisans engaged in traditional occupations. A total of 18 traditional trades are covered under the scheme.
